Play Therapy
Play is a child’s natural language, and toys are their words. Traditional talk therapy relies on abstract verbal processing that young minds are not yet developmentally equipped to use. In our therapeutic playroom, children process complex emotions, heal from stress or trauma, and develop self-regulation naturally through play.
What we support
Neurodivergence & Developmental Needs: ADHD, Autism, sensory processing differences, and executive functioning support.
Emotional & Behavioral Challenges: Big meltdowns, externalizing behaviors, anger, anxiety, and internal stress.
Life Transitions & Grief: Divorce, family separation, loss of a loved one, moves, and major life changes.
Social & Relational Struggles: Bullying, friendship difficulties, low self-esteem, and social worries.
Understanding Play Therapy
For adults, talking through challenges feels natural. For children, the brain’s verbal and abstract processing centers are still developing, making it difficult to put complex emotional states into words.
Play Therapy translates therapy into a child's native tongue. In a specialized playroom equipped with expressive, symbolic, and sensory materials, toys act as their words and play becomes their conversation. Through child-led exploration, children externalize internal struggles, work through emotional blockages, and master regulation skills.
What to Expect
Sessions are child-led and non-directive within safe, firm boundaries. By following your child's lead with warmth and unconditional acceptance, we help them build internal autonomy, emotional regulation, and resilience at a pace that feels safe for them.
Parent involvement is at the heart of our work. We believe that children thrive when their caregivers feel supported, which is why we will work closely together throughout the process. Together, we will build practical strategies to help navigate behavioral challenges, emotional struggles, family transitions, and other difficulties.
